Role: Governance Operations Lead
Programme: Enterprise AI Governance & Adoption
Industry: Global Enterprise
Location: London (Hybrid)
Contract: Initial 6-month contract (long-term transformation programme)
Rate: £700-800/d (inside IR35)

X4 Technology are partnered with a corporate on a major enterprise-wide AI transformation, embedding scalable and auditable governance across the organisation's AI portfolio.

As Governance Operations Lead, you'll operationalise AI governance across the end-to-end lifecycle, integrating controls into platforms, MLOps pipelines and delivery processes while enabling AI adoption and business value.

Responsibilities for the Governance Operations Lead (AI)

  • Drive AI governance across the end-to-end lifecycle, from data and development through deployment, monitoring and retirement
  • Embed governance controls into AI/ML platforms, MLOps pipelines and lifecycle management processes
  • Own governance operations including AI Registry, asset/model inventory, tiering, approvals and attestations
  • Develop automation, metrics and dashboards to improve compliance, traceability, auditability and adoption
  • Partner across Data & AI, Architecture, Engineering and Security teams to continuously improve governance tooling and operating models

Requirements for the Governance Operations Lead (AI)

  • Demonstrable background across AI/ML, technology operations, governance and risk
  • Proven experience implementing enterprise governance processes, controls and operating models
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML platforms, MLOps, DevSecOps and AI lifecycle management
  • Track record of operationalising governance through automation, tooling and enterprise adoption
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a focus on scalability, simplification and business outcomes
