About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Governance & Controls Analyst to join a dynamic Governance & Oversight function. This is a first-line governance role focused on supporting complex remediation and change programmes through independent oversight, challenge, and assurance activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring robust governance standards, controls, and risk management practices are embedded throughout programme lifecycles, providing confidence that decisions are appropriately assessed, approved, and executed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent reviews and challenge activities across programme initiatives.
  • Assess programme readiness ahead of key milestones and decision points.
  • Review governance documentation, approvals, and supporting evidence.
  • Support the development and maintenance of governance frameworks and controls.
  • Contribute to Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) activities.
  • Perform risk and control assessments to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Review change requests, exceptions, and governance escalations.
  • Ensure adherence to governance standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Support governance committees, forums, and decision-making processes.
  • Provide assurance over programme controls and remediation activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
