Working hours
9 hours per week – no fixed work pattern. Flexibility is required, as the postholder must attend scheduled meetings (which are usually during normal office hours, but may occasionally be held in the evening). The remainder of the working hours are spent on meeting preparation and follow-up work, which can be undertaken at a time and location to suit the postholder.

Location
Base location is Twynham Learning Core Services office, co-located with The Grange School, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 3AU. Attendance at meetings at schools in our local area will be required. Outside of the meetings themselves, most duties can be performed remotely.

About The Post
We have a rare opportunity for an organised and professional individual to join our Core Services (“trust HQ”) team and play a key role in supporting governance across three of our local primary schools.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in our local community by supporting school leaders and governors to achieve the best possible outcomes for our pupils. You will have the opportunity to develop specialist school governance knowledge and gain valuable insight into school leadership and strategic decision-making. Full training is provided and, if you are interested, we also offer the option of undertaking a fully funded Level 3 governance clerking qualification. You will be working in close partnership with our Headteachers and governors (known at Twynham Learning as “School Ambassadors”), and you’ll be part of our friendly and welcoming Core Services team.

- Provide effective administration for school governance meetings
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Manage information relating to committee business and its members
- Advise and guide the School Ambassador Committee
- Assist with recruitment, induction and succession planning for committee members
- Keep up to date with current educational developments and legislation affecting school governance
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.

Who We Are Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A strong background in performing administration duties
- Strong IT skills – including Microsoft office suite and facilitating meetings using Teams.
- Experience of using AI for generating meeting minutes (or the ability to learn this)
- Attention to detail and literacy skills – including notetaking and preparation of high quality, accurate documentation
- Excellent organisation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility
- Trustworthiness and discretion
