Government Digital & Technology Technical Delivery Manager
Essential Skills
- Strong senior delivery or consulting experience within Government Digital & Technology and complex public sector transformation environments
- Proven track record delivering large-scale government digital and technology programmes from discovery through to live service
- Strong practical understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
- Solid technical understanding of modern software development, AWS or Azure, DevOps and architecture
- Strong understanding of GDS Service Standards, NCSC security principles and GDPR
- Experience providing technical oversight and supporting teams through complex technology delivery decisions
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with senior government stakeholders
- Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and third-party suppliers
- Experience supporting commercial management, budgeting and resource planning
- Strong leadership capability with experience supporting and developing delivery teams

Desired Skills
- Experience delivering citizen-facing government digital services aligned with GDS Service Standards
- Exposure to AI-enabled citizen engagement, intelligent automation and virtual assistants
- Experience supporting CRM and Contact Centre transformation, including Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience delivering omnichannel services across web, mobile and other digital touchpoints
- Experience using data, insights and tooling to improve technology delivery and decision-making
- Experience with legacy system modernisation and migration
- Knowledge of user research, service design and accessibility best practices
- Experience within relevant public sector domains such as health or defence

Our client is seeking an experienced Government Digital & Technology Technical Delivery Manager to support the delivery of complex, high-impact technology programmes across Central Government. You will lead significant digital and technology workstreams, working with multidisciplinary teams across user research, service design, architecture and Agile development to deliver services from discovery and design through to live service.
The role combines Agile delivery, technical oversight, stakeholder engagement, risk management and continuous improvement, helping government organisations use digital, data and technology to improve efficiency, citizen engagement and resilience.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in complex Government Digital & Technology transformation programmes, combining strong delivery leadership with technical understanding and senior stakeholder engagement.
