If so, we invite you to apply for the role of Local Governor at Caludon Castle School, a vibrant and welcoming secondary school within the Castle Phoenix Trust.
About The Role
As a Local Governor, you will be part of the Local Governing Body, helping to ensure strong governance and a clear focus on the 4Ss – Safeguarding, SEND, Standards, and Stakeholder Engagement. You’ll work collaboratively with the Headteacher, fellow governors, and the Trust to uphold high standards in education, pupil wellbeing, and school performance.

Meetings take place once a term (3 times a year).
You Will:
- Attend and contribute to governing body meetings
- Support and challenge school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for all students
- Act as a link between the school, parents, the community, and the wider Trust
- Help ensure compliance with statutory duties and Trust policies
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking individuals with:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and contribute to strategic decision-making
- Experience in education, governance, or leadership (not essential – full training provided)
- A genuine commitment to improving children’s lives through excellent education
