Freelance Governor / Higher Education Advisor Opportunity

Location: Flexible (primarily remote, with occasional attendance at the London campus where required)

About London Kensington College
London Kensington College (LKC) is a UK education provider developing its higher education provision and strengthening its academic and governance framework.
As part of this strategic development, LKC is progressing through its Office for Students (OfS) registration journey and is seeking experienced professionals to support the next stage of institutional growth.
The Opportunity
LKC is looking to connect with experienced higher education professionals who can contribute as a Freelance Governor / Higher Education Advisor. The role will involve providing independent guidance, strategic insight, and professional expertise in areas including:

Who We Are Looking For
We welcome professionals with experience or knowledge in:
- Higher education leadership, governance, or institutional development
- Academic quality assurance
- Teaching, learning, and student experience
- Academic partnerships and collaborative provision
- Education regulation and compliance
- Strategic planning and organisational development
Previous experience as a Governor, Trustee, or Board member is welcome but not essential. We also welcome professionals who have relevant higher education experience and would like to contribute their expertise to the development of an emerging higher education provider.

Working Arrangement
- Flexible freelance engagement based on institutional needs.
- Majority of meetings, discussions, and advisory activities will take place remotely.
- Occasional attendance at the London campus may be required.
- Reasonable travel expenses will be covered where in-person attendance is required.
Remuneration
The role is paid on an hourly basis, with the rate discussed based on experience, expertise, and expected contribution.
