About The Role

GP Educator – BMBS Programme (Education and Scholarship)

This part-time (60 hours across the year - 0.0375 FTE) post is available from 01/09/2026 - 31/08/2027 on a fixed term basis.

Salary

If you are a fully qualified GP (on the GP register and GMC-registered with a licence to practice) there are two methods of payment:

  • Contract of employment: where practice payment is not appropriate. You will be remunerated on the Clinical Senior Lecturer pay scale calculated pro rata according to your years of experience.
  • Practice payment: this is paying for locum cover directly to the practice where you would normally be working whilst a PDG tutor. Paid on a termly basis.

Please note that this role is subject to a DBS check. At the University of Exeter, we are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all our staff to share this commitment.

The Role

University of Exeter Medical School, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences

This role involves facilitating small-group learning sessions based on live-streamed clinical consultations provided by a partner GP practice in Devon. The facilitator will observe the consultations alongside students and guide discussion, reflection, and learning arising from the cases. Teaching takes place across 12 Tuesday mornings during the 2026/27 academic year.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
