Dr.Dropin GP Practice Lead

Dr.Dropin is seeking an adaptable, tech-savvy GP Practice Lead to balance high-quality patient care with operational excellence and practical business growth. You will split your week between 2–3 days of direct patient care and 1 day of dedicated administrative time focused on practice governance, CQC compliance, and expanding our GP service offerings.

In this role, you will deliver excellent face-to-face clinical care while ensuring our practice runs smoothly, safely, and in full alignment with CQC regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Practice (2–3 days/week)

  • Deliver face-to-face patient consultations
  • Manage daily clinical queries
  • Review daily blood tests and investigation results
  • Handle OOH cover routing
  • Oversee specialized pathways such as GLP-1 repeat prescription authorizations

CQC & Regulatory Compliance (0.5 day/week)

  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager, Caldicott Guardian, and Safeguarding Lead
  • Ensure full regulatory readiness by managing CQC inspections, coordinating incident and complaint investigations, executing audits, and reviewing patient safety alerts (CAS, NICE, MHRA)

GP Product & Operational Support (0.5 day/week)

  • Support business development by helping build, refine, and launch new GP-led clinical services and products (such as weight management or private screening pathways)
  • Line-manage and appraise GPs
  • Partner with Operations on rotas and onboarding
  • Maintain our existing governance frameworks

What We Are Looking For

Clinical Qualifications

  • Fully qualified General Practitioner with active GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS Performers List (or equivalent UK private practice credentials)

CQC Knowledge & Regulatory Experience

  • Practical experience with and strong working knowledge of CQC standards, framework requirements, and Caldicott Principles

Digital Proficiency

  • Tech-savvy mindset with hands-on familiarity using modern digital tools, clinical software, and tracking performance via digital governance dashboards

Product-Focused Mindset

  • Practical experience or strong interest in developing practical GP clinical products and services to expand private patient care options

Team Collaboration

  • Clear communication skills to handle patient complaints constructively, support fellow GPs, and collaborate smoothly with operations
