GPU Architect

Cambridge, UK | Onsite | Perm | Visa sponsorship possible

We are looking for a GPU Architect to join our client, a global organisation working on the forefront of advanced computing and semiconductor innovation, developing next-gen GPU technology. An excellent opportunity to influence future GPU architecture within a highly technical, research-driven R&D environment.

The successful GPU Architect will work at the intersection of hardware architecture, graphics algorithms and high-performance computing, as well as help define how advanced graphics and compute workloads are mapped onto future GPU architectures, balancing performance, image quality, latency, power efficiency and hardware complexity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural research and development for next-generation GPU and graphics platforms.
  • Define and evaluate GPU architecture approaches for advanced graphics and compute workloads.
  • Analyse how rendering and graphics algorithms can be efficiently mapped onto GPU hardware to improve performance, image quality, latency and power efficiency.
  • Investigate architectural requirements for technologies including ray tracing, path tracing, physically based rendering, screen-space techniques and image reconstruction.
  • Work closely with hardware, software, graphics and research teams to translate algorithms and emerging technologies into viable GPU architecture solutions.
  • Evaluate architectural trade-offs through performance analysis, modelling and technical research, contributing to future GPU technology roadmaps.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
