GPwER / GPwSI in Cardiology – Private Clinic
Location: East Surrey / South London
Working Pattern: Flexible / Hybrid
Commitment: Flexible sessions
Start: January 2027
Are you a GP with an Extended or Special Interest in Cardiology looking for an opportunity to develop your specialist practice alongside your existing clinical commitments? Compass Associates are working with a growing healthcare organisation that is developing a new cardiology service across Surrey. We are looking to speak with experienced GPwERs / GPwSIs in Cardiology who would be interested in joining the service as it develops. This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in a growing cardiology pathway, working alongside Consultant Cardiologists and the wider clinical team to provide high-quality, accessible cardiovascular care within the community.
The Opportunity
You will play an important role in the clinical delivery of the cardiology service, assessing and managing patients with a range of cardiovascular conditions within your scope of practice, while working collaboratively with Consultant Cardiologists and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
The organisation is looking to build a flexible clinical workforce and can consider clinicians looking to work alongside existing NHS, primary care or private-sector commitments. As patient activity increases, there will be opportunities to take on additional sessions and become increasingly involved in the development of the service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
