Global Quality & Accreditation (GQA) Artificial Intelligence (AI) Regulatory & Certification Lead
Europe/UK/US – homebased with some travel required
One-year fixed term contract

About the role
Our Regulatory Services’ GQA team are looking for a GQA AI Regulatory & Certification Lead who provides regulatory & accreditation leadership to the BSI Artificial Intelligence certification body, notified body and quality management teams globally.
Responsibilities
- Managing AI notified body, AI certification body schemes globally within ISO17021/ISO17065/ISO17025 and other applicable accreditation and legislation requirements (e.g., EU AI Act, Medical Devices Regulation).
- Leading the development and maintenance of Conformity Assessment Activity to allow providers and manufacturers to demonstrate that their technology and processes conform to the provisions of EU AI Regulations, applicable standards, and global regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring that BSI has the relevant policies, procedures and documentation in place to meet all latest AI regulatory obligations.
- Ensuring that NB, AI Services and AIMS personnel work is consistently at the required high level of expertise and rigour.
- Providing policy, input and expertise on AI technical and AI management systems assessment and developing related certification schemes.
- Representing BSI in relevant AI events, forums, stakeholder engagement and working groups on AI.

To be successful in the role, you will have:
- BSc degree or higher in a discipline relevant to Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Information Technology, Quality Assurance or equivalent
- At least four years' post-graduate experience in one of the following areas: conformity assessment, quality management, software development, quality policy/regulation, standardization development, 1 year of which related to AI.
- Experience in AI Lifecycle and Quality aspects, and Regulatory aspects of AI products.
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly communication and influencing skills.

Netherlands: The salary for this position can range from €81,600 to €102,000 annually.
This is a remote position that can be based in Europe or the US. As compensation varies by country and local market conditions, salary details will be discussed with candidates prior to the interview stage.
