The GME-A-II

The GME-A-II provides the practical structure for the processing and coordination to implement strategic plans for improving the vision of strong educational programs for physicians in training. Provides administrative support of regulatory compliance through data management, report preparation, coordination of special events, records retention, recruitment, and accreditation preparation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collects and maintains trainee credentialing data to ensure regulatory compliance and integrity of trainee records.
  • Provides coordination of special events and assists with recruitment of trainees to maintain a professional reflection of graduate medical education programs.
  • Supports all functions of graduate medical education programs throughout the hospital to enhance collaborative efforts with participation in meetings and house wide projects.
  • Collects and maintains accurate and complete programmatic data management to provide precise reports.
  • Demonstrates excellence and integrity in customer service and regulatory compliance of all graduate medical education programs to ensure successful operation.
  • Maintains current knowledge of accreditation regulations through conference attendance, reading materials and individualized learning to assure continued accreditation and growth of all programs.
  • Provides coordination for a targeted ratio average of administrators to programs per the current ACGME requirements for sponsored GME programs or GME processes at the institutional level.
  • Consistently demonstrating organization’s core values.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, Communication or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience required, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting
  • Graduate medical education experience preferred
  • C-TAGME certification preferred, but not required
  • Experience with trainee data management systems/software preferred
  • Experience with national web-based GME systems preferred
  • Experience with virtual conferencing
