Who are we?

Global Maritime is a leading marine, offshore, and engineering consultancy that offers intellectually stimulating work within a deeply collaborative culture and with uniquely supportive leadership. This environment creates a culture where talented professionals truly thrive. At the heart of what we do are extraordinary challenges. We directly contribute to unique, often world-first projects on the global stage. We are driven by a vibrant culture of innovation, including dedicated R&D, advanced in-house software, and the freedom to develop your own ideas. This rapid exposure across the entire spectrum of marine, offshore, and engineering consultancy accelerates your expertise like nowhere else.

Welcoming you to our team:

Our E &S team supports clients across offshore renewables, decommissioning, subsea oil and gas, and other marine infrastructure projects by providing specialist engineering and software engineering expertise that helps maximise value while minimising project risk. Continued growth in offshore renewable energy developments, larger project scales, and expansion into deeper waters is driving innovation across our E & S offering.

Based in any of our UK offices (London, Glasgow, Aberdeen or Newcastle) you will join a highly motivated team of E & S specialists and benefit from extensive training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing opportunities from experienced professionals across multiple disciplines. Reporting into the E & S team leadership structure, you will have the opportunity to get involved in E & S business stream projects and contribute to a diverse portfolio of offshore projects with a strong focus on energy developments.

The team plays an integral role in offshore projects of all sizes, from early-stage site investigations and concept development through to detailed design and project execution. This role would suit a naval architect or marine engineering student who is eager to develop their technical capability across a broad range of disciplines while contributing to innovative offshore projects around the world.

What does success look like in this position?

In this role, success means becoming a trusted and dependable contributor to geoscience consultancy projects, consistently delivering high-quality work that meets technical, commercial, and client expectations. You will effectively support the delivery of engineering desk studies, integrated models, interpretative reports, risk assessments, and other marine engineering studies while actively learning from senior colleagues and applying new knowledge to increasingly complex projects.

You will confidently contribute to helping clients make informed decisions regarding offshore developments. Success also means supporting the planning and management of laboratory testing programmes, participating in offshore survey activities, and assisting with assessments for offshore structures including jack-ups and fixed and floating wind turbine generators.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
