Graduate Academic Mentor
£85 - £102 per day
Immediate start until July 2027
Secondary school, Walsall
1:1 and general support across the curriculum (KS3/KS4)
The Role
As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will support students across KS3 and KS4 with their academic progress. You will provide 1:1 support, help pupils understand lesson content and encourage stronger engagement across the curriculum. You will also assist teaching staff with general classroom support, helping students stay focused, organised and confident in their learning.
The Candidate
This role will suit a motivated graduate who can explain ideas clearly and build positive relationships with secondary students. You should be patient, reliable and confident supporting pupils across different subjects and ability levels. This is a strong opportunity for someone considering teacher training or a long-term career in education.

Requirements
- 2:2 degree or above in any subject.
- A genuine interest in supporting secondary students across KS3 and KS4.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain learning clearly.
- A patient, organised and encouraging approach to academic support.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

The School
This Walsall secondary school is looking for a Graduate Academic Mentor who can provide consistent academic support across the curriculum. You will work alongside experienced teaching staff, gain valuable classroom experience and help students develop confidence, focus and stronger subject knowledge.
