The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Javelin’s Accounting team reporting into the Head of Accounting. This is a team of twelve employees who form part of the wider Finance department that includes Tax and Trade Finance, all reporting into the Chief Financial Officer. There will be regular interaction with Trading, Technology, Logistics, and Settlements teams. This is a great role for an individual who is interested in an accounting career in the Commodities industry. The successful candidate must have already started or be ready to commence with their ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Building strong relationships with all employees at Javelin
- Daily invoice posting and cash matching
- Posting of month-end journals and preparing reconciliations between the risk management and accounting system
- Responsibility for accounting of small entities
- Other responsibilities to develop over time

Skills and Experience Required:
- Degree educated (Finance or Maths-related degree preferred)
- Strong analytical skills, highly adept with Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach
- A capable, enthusiastic individual who is a self-starter, able to work under pressure, and comfortable with taking initiative
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Self-motivated and able to collaborate effectively with a global team.
