Graduate Accountant

Location: Canary Wharf, London
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a recent graduate looking to build a successful career in accounting and finance?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing finance team based in Canary Wharf, one of London's leading business districts. You will receive hands-on experience, structured training and the opportunity to develop towards a professional accounting qualification.

No extensive previous accounting experience is required. We are looking for graduates with strong potential, a positive attitude and the ambition to develop a long-term career in finance.

The Role

As a Graduate Accountant, you will work alongside experienced accountants and finance professionals, gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
  • Supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes
  • Preparing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
  • Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Supporting audit and compliance activities
  • Processing and analysing financial information
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records
  • Using Excel and accounting systems to analyse and report financial data
  • Working with senior members of the finance team on projects and process improvements
  • Developing your understanding of UK accounting standards and financial controls

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related subject
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic
