Equifind are representing a Financial Services firm based in Bank, City of London, who are looking to hire a Graduate Accountant.
The firm boasts a leading position in the Private Equity and Real Estate sector. The firm has 150 staff so it's a great training ground, where you would know both front and back office. This is a great opportunity for a recent Graduate with some experience or an Junior Finance Professional that would thrive in a broad position within a dynamic, fast-paced team.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and enthusiastic individual eager to grow within a highly respected financial services organisation, willing to commit to being 4-days in the office per week. The position can start immediately so the right candidate will either be immediately available to start and interview or on a very short notice period. Study support to ACCA/CIMA provided.

- Expense management: Reviewing, paying and coding company wide expenses and dealing with queries
- Accounts Payable: This and expenses will take up 2 to 2.5 days of the week.
- Month end: Helping with prepayments and accruals. Ledger maintenance to ensure that proper, complete, and accurate accounting records for pools are maintained.
- KPI information: Preparation of information for the quarterly Key Performance Indicators produced for pool members under the supervision of the Pool Finance Accountant.
- Support for the Finance team: Undertaking ad-hoc tasks and projects, as required, including Excel systems development or enhancement. Tools used will be Excel, Power Query, SQL, and VBA. Developing skills to be able to support other finance department members.
- Year end support: Helping the Finance manager with all tasks required.
Application Criteria
- Ideally excellent academic background in a subject that represents numeracy, business or science.
- 12 months experience within accounts / sandwich year at University
- Ideally from a Russell Group/Red Brick University but not mandatory.
- Have an ambition or real desire to pursue an accounting qualification.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills – the candidate will be expected to become an advanced Excel user in the first few months of employment.
- An interest in coding as SQL is used to extract data from systems. Power BI and VBA to automate tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Compensation
The Graduate Accountant working for this Financial Services company based in Bank, City of London, will be paid a competitive market-based salary with full study support (ACCA/CIMA).
