About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons, using effective assessment methods to ensure strong student outcomes
  • Create schemes of work and contribute to curriculum development aligned with industry and academic standards
  • Monitor and manage student performance, provide constructive feedback, and support continuous improvement in learning
  • Provide student support and act as a personal tutor setting targets, and promoting student welfare and engagement
  • Contribute to quality improvement processes, maintain accurate records, meet KPIs, and support audits and awarding bodies inspections
  • Participate in wider college activities, CPD, team collaboration, recruitment events, and promote equality, diversity, and safeguarding

Qualifications

  • Degree or relevant qualification in agriculture or a related sector
  • GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths (Level 2+)

Required Skills

  • Strong interest in the agricultural sector, particularly livestock production and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to manage workload effectively
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently
  • Positive, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills and embrace new challenges
  • Passionate about supporting and developing others
  • Proficiency in using MS Office applications

Preferred Skills

  • Previous teaching or training experience (or willingness to achieve)
