Our Graduate Analyst Programme
Our Graduate Analyst role offers the opportunity to start and grow your career at Baringa. As a permanent member of our team from day one, you'll work on a variety of real client and internal projects, develop valuable skills, and make a meaningful contribution from the outset.
You'll work alongside experienced consultants, building both your technical and professional capabilities through structured learning, hands-on experience, and ongoing development opportunities. Along the way, you'll build relationships across the business, collaborate with colleagues from different teams and sectors, and contribute to work that makes a real impact.

We're looking for Graduate Analysts to join our Energy & Resources practice, with opportunities available across several of our specialist business units. During the application process, you'll have the opportunity to select the business unit that best aligns with your interests and aspirations.
Business Units
Commodities Energy & Trading
Our commodities and energy trading focused team operates across all major commodity and energy companies in Europe, the US, and Singapore. From metals traders and miners, through oil majors, freight and shipping specialists to power and gas traders. Our people bring deep industry expertise to help our clients translate strategy into action, to enter new markets, build new trading capabilities, and to revolutionize their IT landscapes.
Desired skills: Problem solving, IT interest, data skills, interest in commodity markets, personable and confident on client site

Energy Products
We turn Baringa's deep energy market expertise into trusted data, insights, and software products that our clients rely on as they navigate the energy transition. Our team create the market simulations and forecasts used by investors, developers, and utilities around the world to support strategic decision-making. We combine experts covering energy markets, data science, software development, and economics to create digestible data-led insight to our clients. Depending on your background, you could be working with either our market research, modelling, or communications teams.

Markets & Transactions
We help investors, developers, utilities, lenders, and corporates make well-informed commercial decisions across the energy transition. We combine deep expertise in energy markets and infrastructure with strong commercial and transaction advisory capabilities.
Our work ranges from market fundamentals analysis, power price forecasting, and asset optimisation through to commercial strategy, M&A transactions, financing processes, and investment due diligence. We work on some of the energy sector's most complex and high-profile challenges, helping clients deploy capital, manage risk, and unlock value in rapidly evolving markets.
Successful candidates will combine analytical rigour and curiosity with a strong commercial mindset and an interest in understanding how energy markets, investment decisions, and business strategy intersect.
Desired Skills: Commercial acumen and strategic thinking, Quantitative analysis, modelling, and data interpretation, Structured problem-solving and critical thinking, Energy market and energy systems knowledge, financial analysis and investment appraisal, Strong communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, Ability to synthesise complex information into clear recommendations.

Economics, Policy, Regulation, and Commercial
We support clients from policy development to implementation, from regulatory strategies to business case submissions, and from competition cases to expert opinion. Our economists, policy specialists, regulatory experts, and techno-economic modellers work alongside governments, regulators, investors, and corporates – shaping the frameworks and decisions that underpin multi-billion-pound investment across energy, utilities, and wider infrastructure.
Desired Skills: Economic and quantitative analysis, written communication, structured problem-solving, policy & regulatory awareness, interpersonal skills.

Transition, Assets and Infrastructure
Our Transition, Assets & Infrastructure team helps energy, utilities, and infrastructure organizations deliver complex transformation across the full asset asset lifecycle from capital programmes, asset management, operate and maintain, and decommissioning. We work with clients to develop their asset strategy, improve the performance of critical infrastructure, deliver large-scale capital investments, shape future operating models, and unlock value through technology, data, and AI. Combining expertise in engineering, project delivery, operations, technology, and business transformation, we help clients solve complex challenges and deliver lasting outcomes across asset-intensive industries.

You’ll join with a cohort of our Graduate Analysts. As a cohort, you will participate in our Analyst Development Programme. Our programme is designed to develop the client, commercial, and people skills that you need for a successful career at Baringa.
You will join our Global Analyst Community, connecting Analysts with one another to share their experiences and lessons learnt, whilst also gaining knowledge and skills from experienced Baringa people.
You decide on the development you need. We invest in you, to ensure you remain the best in the business, through formal training and qualifications, coaching, and mentoring.
You can talk to anyone in the business. There are no barriers, and everyone is accessible, from our Analysts to our Partners. Our Partner to consultant ratio of 1:10 means you get to learn and work alongside our Directors and Partners on a daily basis.
