Job Purpose

You will help build, run and improve Day One's AI platform for pharmaceutical brand and insight teams. You will set up client projects on the platform, keep it running well, and turn the strategy team's questions into reliable outputs. You will learn the platform from our technology partner and take on more of it over time.

Role Key Accountabilities

Platform and Client Work

  • Keep the platform running: monitor it, fix problems, and keep it secure and up to date
  • Set up new client projects: load and organise client data, configure the platform, and test the results
  • Check quality before models go live or access is shared with a client, and log and fix issues
  • Monitor model outputs for quality, consistency and drift; escalate issues and support fixes with the technology partner
  • Write and maintain scripts to support data loading, testing and reporting on the platform
  • Keep code, documentation and runbooks current in Day One's repositories
  • Keep client data in the right place: the client's own environment and Day One systems only

Compliance and Data Protection

  • Follow and enforce Day One's compliance and security requirements and client obligations, including GDPR and adverse-event reporting, and raise any risk you see.

A High Performing, Motivated Team and Culture

  • Share what you learn with the team and document it as you go
  • Support and collaborate with team on client work where necessary (from pitch to live work)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Personal Attributes

Organised, curious and precise. A clear communicator who asks when unsure, takes ownership, and is comfortable working with people who are not technical.

Dimensions

  • Direct Reports: none.
  • Budget and Finances: none. You help keep the platform's running costs within the agreed budget.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

  1. The platform is available and issues are resolved within agreed times
  2. New client projects are set up on time and pass quality checks
  3. Nothing reaches a client without a recorded quality check
  4. Documentation and code are current and reviewed regularly

Decision Making

  • Makes day-to-day technical decisions within the platform's agreed design. Larger design questions go to the Product Manager and the technology partner.
  • Works with the project team who owns each project on what the outputs should be. Not a sole decision maker on client outputs: an influencer and a collaborator.

Other Role Information

You report to the Product Manager and work alongside the insights and strategy teams and, during the build period, our technology partner.

This is a new role in a growing team. As the platform grows there is a path to a senior engineering role.
