About the Job
Kent is looking for a Graduate Asset Integrity Engineer to be based in Aberdeen.
Joining our team, you would have the opportunity to work with and learn from technical experts and contribute to a variety of technically challenging and exciting projects. As a graduate in Aberdeen, you will be developing knowledge and experience by contributing to various Asset Integrity projects for a broad spectrum of clients and industries, including oil & gas and renewables and have opportunity to offshore visits to our client’s global installations.
The Kent Asset Integrity (AI) and Multidisciplinary team provides technical engineering consultancy to the energy and chemical industry for problems related to asset integrity, life extension and carbon footprint reduction just to name a few. These include projects in conventional oil and gas, as well as the energy transition.
We are looking for candidates who have a strong interest in Asset Integrity and relish technically challenging engineering projects. You will be passionate and driven to deliver above and beyond to clients and posess strong foundation of Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation and Mechanical Engineering. We work in a fast-paced environment, so you will be highly organized and a proactive team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Recruitment Timeline
Shortlisting and pre-screening of applications will commence in early November. Candidates selected to progress to the next stage will be invited to interview, with interviews scheduled to take place from late November to early December 2026.

We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the offices three days a week. This approach supports the development of a strong and effective team dynamic.
Skills & Responsibilities
Working as part of an integrated, multi-discipline team you will be assisting with development, review and implementation across a range of documents and processes delivering against the full integrity cycle, including:
- Functioning as part of a team of engineers and mainly providing assistance to other engineers or be responsible under close supervision.
- Working with discipline related industry codes & standards.
- Focus on the Oil & Gas market, you may also be called upon to support projects in other energies and technologies.
- Assisting in developing life extension plans for ageing assets.
- Assisting in improving efficiency of assets through inspection activities, development of risk-based inspection work scopes and operational support.
- Interfacing directly with clients, representing our teams to discuss engineering solutions to complex problems.
- Supporting our external markets, business development and work winning activities.
- Undertaking specific tasks / area of work as defined by the lead / principal / senior engineer.
- Executing allocated tasks within the requirements of the project execution plan.
- Executing work in compliance with client specifications, Kent’s ISO accredited QMS, and project specific procedures, guides and standards.
- Providing input to preparation of deliverables by other engineers.
- Providing input and support to decision making by other engineers.
- Completing the Kent Graduate Development Programme and developing technical and project skills through targeted training, on the job experience, mentoring, and continuing professional development.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelors / master’s degree (BEng / MEng or equivalent) in systems engineering or related discipline – degrees to be accredited by IMechE / EI (degrees recognised by the Engineering Council)
- Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

- Adaptability, and the ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple demands.

- We are looking for candidates who are due to graduate in 2027 or have graduated in the last 2 years.
