The Role
Work within an agile delivery squad supporting the development and enhancement of citizen-facing digital services.
Collaborate with experienced Business Analysts, operational stakeholders, designers, developers and testers to understand user needs, document requirements and support the delivery of business, transformation, automation and legislative changes.
Develop practical experience of modern business analysis techniques, agile delivery methods and user-centred service design while contributing to the continuous improvement of public services.
Your responsibilities:
- Support Business Analysts in understanding and documenting business and user needs
- Assist with requirements gathering activities, including workshops, stakeholder discussions and process reviews
- Help create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery documentation
- Use Jira and Confluence to capture requirements, manage delivery artefacts and support backlog activities
- Collaborate with operational, design, development and testing colleagues to understand change impacts
- Support analysis of business processes and identify opportunities for service improvement and automation
- Assist in documenting current and future state processes
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives
- Support testing and validation activities to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and sharing of knowledge across the team

Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Logical and analytical problem-solving ability
- Interest in improving services and solving business problems
- Ability to understand/ingest complex information and simplify
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new concepts and technologies
- Effective collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to organise and manage tasks effectively
- Customer-focused mindset with empathy and professionalism
- Basic digital literacy including Microsoft Office tools
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- Awareness of Agile ways of working
- Interest in user-centred design and digital services
- Exposure to process mapping, analysis or documentation activities
- Broad understanding and appreciation of digital technologies and programming
- Office 365 product suite (Word, PPT, Excel and Copilot)
- Understanding and appreciation of generative AI
