Graduate - Chemical Engineer
Location: Stanlow Manufacturing Complex, Ellesmere Port
Employment Type: Site Based Full Time Role 5 days per week Monday-Friday
Start Date: Autumn 2027 (3 Year Fixed Term)

About the Company
EET (Essar Energy Transition) vision is to be the leading producer of low carbon fuels and establish a blueprint energy transition hub in the North West. EET plays a major role in supplying the Northwest and the wider UK with essential fuels. We produce over 16% of the UK’s road transport fuels, supply key feedstocks to the petrochemical industry, and are investing heavily in low‑carbon energy solutions.
We work with major retail fuel brands, supermarkets, Manchester Airport, leading airlines, and regional transport operators. We are also a key partner in the HyNet project, helping to deliver the region’s low‑carbon future.

About the Role
What we offer:
- Three-year graduate programme offering structured internal placements across key areas of the department, designed to build broad experience and professional confidence
- Rotational structure within the Technology function, giving you a well-rounded view of operations while allowing you to contribute meaningfully to each team you join
- Gain in-depth exposure to Production Unit operations, learning how chemical engineers support refinery processes and drive performance improvements
- Hands-on involvement in refinery unit production, including monitoring unit performance, analysing data, and providing technical recommendations to optimise output
- Accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), ensuring high standards of professional development and industry recognition
- You’ll be assigned an IChemE Chartered mentor from the Technology team to guide your progress and support your journey toward Chartered Status
- Understand the complete process life cycle of our products, from raw materials to final output, gaining valuable insight into industrial-scale chemical engineering
- Build a strong foundation of technical knowledge and practical experience to launch a successful long-term career at EET Fuels

About You
We are looking for:
- A graduate in Chemical Engineering with a minimum 2:1 grade
- Highly driven, dedicated, and focused individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to personal and professional development within Essar
- Excellent literacy skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Confident communicators, capable of expressing ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats
- Comfortable presenting to a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners
- Resilient and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to take ownership of tasks and challenges
