Essential eligibility requirements
All applicants must have been residing in the UK for the last five years and have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme. Visa sponsorship is not available. You must also hold a minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline and be willing to travel and relocate across the UK for your placements.

Help tackle some of the UK’s most significant engineering, infrastructure and environmental challenges through a two-year graduate programme in the nuclear sector.
As a Civil Engineering Graduate, you will contribute to the safe, secure and sustainable management of the UK’s nuclear legacy. Your work could range from maintaining essential infrastructure to supporting decommissioning and environmental restoration. Through two 12-month placements, you will gain experience across different teams, projects and locations, working alongside experienced engineers and industry specialists.
What you could be doing
Depending on your placements, you could contribute to:
- Designing, assessing and improving buildings, structures, foundations, drainage and supporting infrastructure.
- Structural assessments and asset management.
- Construction support, facility modifications and infrastructure upgrades.
- Decommissioning, waste management and environmental restoration projects.
- Technical problem-solving and project delivery within a highly regulated environment.

Who we’re looking for
This programme would suit someone who enjoys solving complex problems, applying engineering principles to real-world challenges and collaborating with others. To be considered, you will need:
- A minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- To have been residing in the UK for the last five years.
- The right to work in the UK throughout the programme, without requiring sponsorship.
- The flexibility to travel and relocate to any participating office or site hosting a relevant placement.

Placements are available across England, Scotland and Wales and will reflect both your development needs and business requirements. Relocation support is available where required.

At the end of the programme, you will receive support to secure a role within the participating organisations or the wider nuclear sector.

Successful applicants must comply with relevant security requirements, including protecting sensitive information, reporting security concerns and changes in personal circumstances, and maintaining valid clearance where required.
