About the Role

Langan is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in London, UK. This environmental position involves assisting with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects, offering exposure to mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential projects, higher education, and various land development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate on engineering documents (reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates, design plans) using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and complementary software
  • Analyse soil composition, terrain, hydrological data, and topographical/geological information to inform project design
  • Propose innovative approaches to improve efficiency and service delivery
  • Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics to technical tasks
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on project assignments
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • 0–2 years of relevant work experience, including:
    • Internships or site/civil design experience (e.g., site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, erosion control)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask independently or in team environments with a keen sense of detail
  • Comfortable working flexible hours (approx. 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., M–F, with occasional evenings/weekends)
