Graduate Commercial Analyst

Are you a self-motivated Graduate who wants real responsibility in an engaging and supportive organisation? Can you picture yourself at a company committed to having a positive environmental and social impact, with a real focus on sustainability? Then KBR are looking for you!

About the Role

The Defence & Nuclear Technology Solutions (UK) division is seeking a Graduate Commercial Analyst to join the Bids & Capture team, supporting business-winning activities across defence, civil government and nuclear programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on strategic pursuits and live opportunities, developing a strong foundation across commercial management, bid development, capture planning and contract management. Applicants should have a genuine interest in commercial management and business winning, and a desire to build a long-term career in the field.

As a Graduate Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the development of competitive, compliant and commercially robust proposals. Working alongside experienced commercial, bid and capture professionals, you will assist with reviewing tender documentation, developing commercial responses, assessing risk and supporting the preparation of customer proposals. You will also gain exposure to pricing assumptions, contract negotiation activities and commercial governance processes that support major business opportunities.

The role will involve close collaboration with Business Development, Finance, Legal, Project Delivery and Technical teams to support the successful delivery of bids and capture activities. You will contribute to market engagement initiatives, capture planning workshops, win strategy development and customer-focused solution development activities. In addition, you will support the management of commercial risks and opportunities, maintaining risk registers and commercial records throughout the opportunity lifecycle.

You will also gain experience reviewing customer terms and conditions, supporting contractual assessments and developing an understanding of UK Government procurement practices, NEC contracts and commercial contracting principles. Through participation in bid reviews, lessons learned sessions and continuous improvement initiatives, you will help drive commercial excellence and business-winning success across the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
