Role Overview

As a Graduate Commercial Trading Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of commercial performance through data analysis, reporting, and insight generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Commercial Trading team, you will provide analysis and recommendations that help identify trading opportunities, monitor performance, and support key business decisions.
  • You will be responsible for producing regular trading reports, analysing performance trends, and helping the business understand the key drivers of revenue, margin, and customer demand.

  • Producing and maintaining regular trading reports and dashboards.
  • Supporting category trading through performance analysis and insight generation.
  • Supporting trading reviews with data and recommendations.
  • Assisting with portfolio categorisation and commercial performance tracking.
  • Monitoring key commercial KPIs and escalating risks and opportunities.
  • Working collaboratively across Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Product and Revenue Management.
  • Identifying reporting and process improvement opportunities.

What You’ll Have

  • A degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or another numerically focused discipline.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the confidence to work with data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured, organised approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain analysis and insights clearly to stakeholders.
  • A proactive, curious mindset and a genuine appetite to learn.
  • The ability to work with Excel; experience with Tableau or Snowflake is desirable but not essential.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in understanding how data can support business decisions.
  • Previous experience in an analytical, commercial, trading, pricing, revenue management, or finance environment is advantageous, but we’re equally interested in graduates who can demonstrate strong analytical ability and the aptitude to learn.
