Who are we looking for?
We are recruiting for our September 2027 Graduate Data Consultant intake and are looking for ambitious students and recent graduates eager to develop technical and consulting skills while working on meaningful client projects. As part of GHD's global Advisory business, our Data & Insights team works across infrastructure, transport, energy, water and government to help clients make better decisions. We combine the agility of a specialist team with the opportunities, resources and reach of a global professional services company.
As a Graduate Data Consultant, you'll have the opportunity to work on varied projects, develop sought-after technical and consulting skills, and contribute to work that delivers lasting impact from the very start of your career. Based in our London team, you'll work alongside experienced consultants, data specialists and industry experts while building your own expertise through structured learning, mentoring and hands-on project experience.

This is a hybrid role based in our central London office, with an expectation of an average of three days per week in the office. We believe face-to-face collaboration is an important part of learning, problem-solving and building strong relationships, while also recognising the value of flexibility and hybrid working.
We are recruiting for a September 2027 start date. This opportunity is aimed at students who will be in the final year of their degree during the 2026/27 academic year, as well as recent graduates who will be available to join the team in September 2027.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Support the analysis of complex datasets to help clients understand performance, demand and operational challenges.
- Contribute to the development of analytical models and decision-support tools.
- Help design and build data solutions, dashboards and visualisations.
- Work with project teams to understand client requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations and recommendations for clients.
- Participate in client meetings, workshops and project discussions.
- Collaborate with specialists from across GHD, including consultants, engineers, scientists and digital professionals.
- Support the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion.

What you will bring to the Team
- A degree in a relevant discipline such as Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Geography, Engineering, Physics or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex challenges in a structured way.
- An interest in using data and technology to support decision-making and solve real-world problems.
- The ability to communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
- A collaborative approach and an ability to work effectively with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- An interest in developing both technical expertise and consulting skills.
- An enthusiasm for working with clients and understanding the challenges they face.
