Graduate Data Scientist

About the Role

Are you a recent Data Science graduate looking to launch your career in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics? We are seeking a motivated and analytical Graduate Data Scientist to join our growing team. This entry-level role is ideal for graduates who are passionate about working with data, building predictive models, and transforming complex datasets into actionable business insights.

No prior professional experience is required. Full training and mentorship will be provided to help you develop expertise in data science, machine learning, statistical analysis, and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, transform, and analyse structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Develop predictive models and machine learning solutions to solve business problems.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Assist in building, testing, and evaluating machine learning models.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate analytical findings.
  • Write SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data.
  • Support data preparation and feature engineering activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Document analytical methodologies, model performance, and project findings.
  • Assist in deploying and monitoring analytical models where applicable.
  • Present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, AI trends, and data science best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Recent graduate or up to 1 year of experience.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of statistics, machine learning, and data analysis concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and logical reasoning.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, and R.
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib.
  • Understanding of databases, ETL processes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control is beneficial.
  • Academic projects, research, internships, or personal portfolio projects involving data science or machine learning are a plus but not required.
