EcoVigour is a growing ecological consultancy working across infrastructure, rail, utilities, and residential development. We’re looking for a Graduate Ecologist to join our friendly and expanding team.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Graduate Ecologist, you’ll gain experience across a variety of ecological work, including:
- Assisting with habitat and protected species surveys
- Supporting Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) activities on-site
- Helping prepare ecological reports (e.g. PEAs, EcIAs, management plans)
- Using GIS to produce maps and plans (training provided where needed)
- Supporting licence applications and ecological assessments
- Learning how ecological projects are delivered from start to finish

You’ll work alongside experienced ecologists who will support your development and help you build confidence in both fieldwork and reporting.
Qualifications
- Foundation knowledge of ecology, conservation, and environmental management, ideally supported by a degree in ecology, environmental science, biology, or a related discipline.
- Ability to carry out ecological fieldwork, including basic habitat classification, species identification, and accurate data recording using standard survey methods.
- Competence in written communication, including preparing clear survey notes, contributing to technical reports, and using standard office software for documentation and analysis.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work safely on-site, follow instructions, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Full driving license and willingness to travel to field sites; ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and undertake physically active survey tasks.
- Membership or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIEEM) is an advantage but, not a requirement.
