Graduate Economic Analyst (Entry-Level | No Experience Required)
About the Role
Are you a recent Economics graduate looking to start your career in economic analysis, business intelligence, research, and financial decision-making?
We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Graduate Economic Analyst to join our growing team. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for graduates who enjoy working with economic data, analysing market trends, conducting research, and turning quantitative information into meaningful business insights.
No prior professional experience is required. Training and mentorship will be provided to help you develop practical skills in economic research, data analysis, forecasting, market analysis, and business reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyse, and interpret economic and business data.
- Conduct research into markets, industries, economic trends, and business performance.
- Assist with economic forecasting and trend analysis.
- Analyse datasets using statistical and quantitative techniques.
- Prepare economic reports, presentations, dashboards, and research summaries.
- Monitor key economic indicators and market developments.
- Support financial and commercial analysis for business decisions.
- Conduct competitor, industry, and market research.
- Assist with scenario analysis and economic modelling.
- Translate complex economic findings into clear insights for stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate research records, datasets, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with finance, strategy, operations, and business teams.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Recent graduate or up to 1 year of experience.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and research skills.
- Good understanding of economic principles and quantitative methods.
- Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and present quantitative information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualisation tools.
- Understanding of econometrics, regression analysis, forecasting, or statistical modelling.
- Familiarity with economic databases and research tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of financial markets, business strategy, or market research is beneficial.
- Academic research, university projects, dissertations, internships, or economic analysis projects are advantageous but not required.
