Graduate Electrical Design Engineer
We're partnering with a growing building services consultancy seeking a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join their design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop their skills within a supportive consultancy environment, working on a range of commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and mixed-use projects.
Role Purpose
Assist in the design of electrical building services systems, including power, lighting, small power, fire alarms, and data systems.
- Support the production of calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
- Develop designs using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Attend project meetings and site visits alongside senior engineers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with current regulations, standards, and client requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design of electrical building services systems, including power, lighting, fire alarms and data systems.
- Support senior engineers in producing calculations, specifications and technical reports.
- Develop designs using industry-standard software.
- Attend project meetings and site visits when required.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Assist with project documentation and ensure designs comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in building services design.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit or electrical design software would be advantageous.
- Ambitious, proactive and keen to work towards professional accreditation.
