Defence Solutions Graduate Electrical Engineer
Location: Broad Oak (Hampshire). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 5 days per week.
Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role Description
This technical role focuses on electrical design activities. The role holder will apply their academic knowledge to support electrical design, development and test activities. Working under technical supervision, you will contribute to design tasks and develop your engineering knowledge and experience. You will work within a multi-disciplined team and develop an understanding of Products & Training Services (P&TS) Electrical Engineering processes and electrical systems and technologies, while gaining an understanding of how these operate and integrate within wider engineering solutions.

Core Duties
Under Technical Supervision
- Support the design of AC & DC distribution systems including sizing, protection, and control.
- Gain awareness of motor drives, control, and positioning systems, and assist with data links, networks, and EMC-related activities.
- Support specification and selection of electrical components and equipment.
- Support design verification using simulation, analysis, and test techniques.
- Liaising with stakeholders to ensure task / requirements are understood and agreed.
- Contribute to design documentation and technical reports.
- Learn and follow the Engineering Lifecycle, contributing to reviews.

All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification Requirements
As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
