The Opportunity
Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Electrical Engineer in our Glasgow office, where you'll be part of a market-leading Buildings discipline.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team which specialises in the delivery of building services, energy and sustainability services, where we offer a fresh approach by getting involved early, working collaboratively with the design team, guiding design development and using our expertise to help clients make key decisions – an approach that always results in a building that delivers.
As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment and will benefit from strong support from both office and technical colleagues, as well as significant guidance from senior staff within our open and collaborative culture.

About The Role
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you'll be...
- Working on live projects from the start in a variety of sectors from healthcare to education
- Electrical services design and calculations using the latest computer modelling software Dialux, Relux and Electrical OM
- Working with supervisors on scheme design concepts
- Using Revit and 3D BIM modelling software in design production
- Design co-ordination with other professional disciplines
- Producing detailed designs and drawings
- Input into or development of energy and sustainability strategy
- Participating in design team and client meetings
- Undertaking site visits or surveys
- Researching and implementing new technologies
- Continuous CPD and learning opportunities
- Your typical work might include designing and creating Electrical Circuits, Wiring and Lighting
We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. The applicable professional qualification for this role is with the IET or CIBSE.

Your Impact
This role will help create high-quality, sustainable and resilient buildings that deliver positive outcomes for communities and the environment. Working across a range of projects, you will support the design and delivery of safe, efficient and future-ready buildings, helping clients reduce environmental impact, enhance building performance and create spaces that improve the wellbeing of those who use them. Your work will contribute to sustainable development goals, support the efficient use of resources, and help deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of both clients and local communities.
About You
At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, and a keen interest in working in the Buildings sector, you'll be:

Please note, we ask our graduates to come into the office 4 days per week, to ensure that you receive sufficient time with your team and receive the appropriate level of support.
