Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is seeking motivated Graduate Electrical Engineers to join its Delivery team, based in Redhill, Chester and Swansea.

The Delivery team is responsible for consulting, delivering and managing critical infrastructure projects within the water sector. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate to develop their technical and professional skills while working towards professional qualification.

You will work closely with experienced engineers and wider project teams, supporting projects both locally and, where required, nationally. The role will involve working from the office as well as attending client offices and project sites, so a willingness and ability to travel is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver defined packages of work safely, efficiently and within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Develop an understanding of project scope, client requirements and contractual changes.
  • Understand customer needs and translate both basic and performance requirements into effective engineering solutions.
  • Support feasibility studies, optioneering, outline design and detailed design activities.
  • Manage and prioritise workloads across multiple projects.
  • Produce clear, concise and high-quality technical deliverables tailored to the intended audience.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering Managers, Project Managers and Regional Delivery Directors.
  • Contribute effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and support the successful delivery of client requirements.

Attributes

This opportunity is ideally suited to a recent Electrical Engineering graduate who is looking to join an accredited graduate training scheme and develop the experience and competencies required to achieve professional qualification.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering from an IET-accredited university.
  • Strong academic performance, particularly in STEM subjects.
  • A genuine interest in developing a career within the water and infrastructure sector.
  • The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A creative, practical and solution-focused approach to engineering challenges.
  • Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, methodical and professional approach to both individual and team-based work.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • A willingness to continuously develop your technical knowledge, skills and professional capabilities.
  • A clear ambition to progress your engineering career and work towards professional qualification.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
