Job Details

A well-established and growing MEP building services consultancy is seeking a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join its team in Wokingham.

The practice is known for delivering high-quality design solutions across a wide range of sectors including residential, hospitality, commercial and mixed-use developments, working alongside leading architects, developers and contractors on both new build and refurbishment projects. The business has built a strong reputation for its innovative, sustainable and client-focused approach to engineering design.

Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to begin their career in building services engineering, gaining exposure to projects from concept through to completion within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

You will work closely with experienced engineers and contribute to the design and coordination of electrical systems across a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the design of electrical building services systems
  • Supporting the production of drawings, calculations and technical documentation
  • Working within multidisciplinary design teams on a range of projects
  • Attending site visits and project meetings where required
  • Developing knowledge of industry standards, regulations and best practice
  • Using design software such as AutoCAD and Revit (training provided where needed)

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Strong interest in building services design
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of design software (AutoCAD/Revit desirable but not essential)
