Graduate Electrical Estimator (Commercial/Industrial)

£28,000 - £35,000 + Enhanced Pension + Early Finish on a Friday + Training + Progression

Are you a recent graduate or junior professional from a technical background, looking to kickstart your career in electrical estimating within a growing and well-established company?

Do you want to work as a Graduate Electrical Estimator for a company experiencing continued expansion, where you will play a key role in supporting project delivery while developing your technical knowledge and commercial awareness through full training and mentorship?

On offer for the successful Graduate Electrical Estimator is the opportunity to be fully trained and develop your skills through structured support, gaining hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of projects from initial enquiry through to project completion. You will work closely with experienced estimators, engineers and project teams, building your confidence while contributing to a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects from an early stage.

In this role, the successful Graduate Electrical Estimator will support a wide variety of tasks while developing into a fully-fledged Estimator. You will assist with reviewing client enquiries and preparing technical quotations, ensuring they accurately reflect project requirements. In addition, you will liaise with internal departments, suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and coordination throughout the estimating process. On top of this, you will support quality procedures and Health & Safety standards while contributing to continuous improvement within the estimating function.

The ideal Graduate Electrical Estimator will come from a relevant technical background, with a keen interest in developing a career in estimating or the electrical engineering sector. Ideally, but not essentially, you will have some knowledge of electrical installations, control systems, power distribution or associated engineering disciplines. On top of this, you will have strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, alongside being computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.

  • Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders

  • Relevant technical or engineering background or degree
  • Interest in electrical estimating or project delivery
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
