We're looking for an ambitious Graduate Electrical Project Engineer to join our growing Projects team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on live engineering projects from day one, supporting the design, delivery and commissioning of generator and power generation solutions across the UK. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers while developing the technical, commercial and leadership skills needed for a successful career in project engineering.
This role is ideal for a graduate who is passionate about electrical engineering, enjoys solving problems, and wants to build a long-term career within the power generation industry. Through structured development, mentoring and real project exposure, you'll follow a clear pathway into Project Engineering and eventually Project Management.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the design, specification and implementation of generator and power generation solutions.
- Assisting with electrical control systems, generator interfaces and site integration solutions.
- Working alongside CAD and Technical teams to produce and review engineering documentation.
- Participating in factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning activities.
- Supporting Project Engineers and Project Managers with project delivery from enquiry through to completion.
- Carrying out site surveys, technical assessments and project coordination activities.
- Developing expertise in generator systems, power distribution, control technologies and electrical infrastructure.
- Contributing to health, safety, quality and compliance activities across all projects.

What we're looking for:
- HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Currently studying towards, or recently completed, a BEng (Hons) in Electrical Power Engineering or a related discipline.
- Good understanding of electrical power systems and electrical engineering principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK Driving Licence or willingness to obtain one.

Application Process
Step 1 - Initial Screening
Following application review, successful candidates will be invited to complete an application form and submit responses to a short video interview questionnaire.
Step 2 - First Stage Interview
Candidates progressing to the next stage will attend a virtual interview via Microsoft Teams with members of the hiring team.
Step 3 - Final Stage Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a site-based final interview, providing an opportunity to meet the wider team and learn more about DTGen and the role.
