Company Description

Vertex Engineers is a London-based consultancy of experienced civil and structural engineers with a strong legacy of professionalism and technical expertise. The firm collaborates closely with clients, design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver optimized solutions for complex engineering projects. Vertex works across sectors including residential, commercial, education, transport infrastructure, industrial, refurbishment, and healthcare, providing tailored design services for each project.

The practice is committed to shaping communities and the built environment for a sustainable future while fostering growth, creativity, and excellence for its people and clients. Every project is approached as an opportunity to solve problems responsibly and contribute positively to society and the profession.

What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 1 year experience in the UK building structures sector, ideally within a consulting environment. You’ll be comfortable working under the guidance of senior engineers, but confident enough to take initiative and manage your own workload. You should have hands-on experience with both traditional and contemporary materials (e.g., concrete, steel, timber, masonry), and familiarity with UK building regulations and design codes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
