Create Solutions that will enable a better tomorrow
We're growing our Highways and Drainage team in the UK and looking for a Graduate Engineer to be part of it. - Translate complex engineering concepts and solutions into presentations, reports, sketches, drawings and infographics that communicate their essence and demonstrate their value to our clients and key stakeholders.
- Carry out a broad range of engineering activities — including data collection and analysis, developing calculation methods, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver consistently high-quality work.
- Contribute to the promotion of engineering best practice and support the implementation of in-house tools, including our carbon calculation tool.
- Plan and prioritise your workload with support from your project manager, tracking and reporting progress against budget and programme.
- Be responsible for your own work, ensuring accuracy through careful self-checking.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
