Role Purpose
Our client, a well-established Building Services Consultancy, is seeking a Graduate Building Services Engineer to join their growing team. This opportunity is suitable for graduates with either a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering background who are looking to develop their careers within the building services industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, calculations, technical specifications, and feasibility reports.
- Support the production and coordination of CAD drawings and design documentation.
- Participate in site visits, surveys, and inspections to gain practical project experience.
- Support projects from initial concept through to completion and handover.
- Assist with contract administration and project delivery activities.
- Develop an understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems and industry best practices.
- Ensure work complies with relevant legislation, statutory requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of project technical standards.
- Stay informed of emerging industry trends, technologies, and engineering developments.
- Support business development initiatives and company objectives where required.

Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in building services design and engineering consultancy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and maintaining health and safety standards.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other engineering design software.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical services within buildings.
- Previous placement, internship, or project experience within an engineering environment.
- Ambition to work towards Chartered Engineer status.
