With continued growth, KDC are pleased to be able to offer Graduate Engineer roles within the Aerospace and Marine sectors out of our Bristol office.
The Graduate Engineer is a direct entry role aligned with any of the following selected engineering disciplines:
- Structural Design
- Structural Analysis
- Systems Engineering
As such the role will be associated with a project team to support delivery of engineering projects whilst offering a structured development plan including support to becoming to a Chartered Engineer. The development plan will be aimed at building up a detailed working knowledge of the chosen engineering discipline as well as an appreciation of other disciplines. A collaborative and right first-time attitude together with a strong team ethic is expected.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Under instruction from the Team Leader or Senior Engineer, complete work as required, in line with KDC Projects quality management procedures and processes
- Undertaking training as required and driving own Personal Development Plan
- Work to required quality and technical standards within reasonable pre-determined timescales
- Ensure that a good understanding of all work undertaken is developed, asking questions and seeking support from mentors and Senior Engineers

Essential Skills and Experience
- Degree in an Engineering discipline
- Thorough and logical attention to detail
- Good Inter-personal skills
- Eye for detail and good problem solver
- Quick learner and self-motivated
- Preferably completed a year in industry in the relevant discipline
- If Design: Working Knowledge of CAD Software
- If Analysis: Working knowledge and experience with FEA
- If Systems: Working knowledge of Simulink/MATLAB or synthetic environments
- Software automation
- Efficient Report Writing
