TWYD is working with an established and growing professional services firm to appoint a Graduate Executive and Business Operations Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, organised and commercially curious individual at the beginning of their career who wants to learn how a successful business operates and develop within it over time.

Our client is known for providing a highly personal and trusted service. They have an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture and place considerable importance on good judgement, strong relationships and doing things properly.

The role will provide practical support to the Executive Team and help ensure the smooth running of the Leeds office. As your knowledge and experience develop, you will be given increasing responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to projects across the business.

What you will do

  • Coordinate diaries, meetings and travel for members of the Executive Team.
  • Prepare agendas, presentations, reports and meeting papers.
  • Attend meetings, take clear notes and follow up on agreed actions.
  • Communicate with colleagues, clients and external advisers.
  • Help organise client events, conferences and company activities.
  • Undertake research and prepare short briefing notes.
  • Support internal projects and business improvements.
  • Help prepare management information and internal communications.
  • Provide practical administrative support across the business.
  • Help ensure the Leeds office remains organised, professional and welcoming.
  • Take ownership of broader projects as your experience and confidence develop.

About you

You may be a recent graduate or have gained some initial experience in a professional working environment. More importantly, you will be:

  • Bright, curious and keen to learn.
  • Highly organised, accurate and dependable.
  • A clear and confident communicator.
  • Comfortable dealing with different people and personalities.
  • Proactive and willing to take responsibility.
  • Able to manage several priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Discreet and comfortable handling confidential information.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly.
  • A positive team member who is willing to help where needed. Previous professional services experience is not required. Your attitude, judgement and potential are more important.

You will work closely with senior people and gain broad exposure to how the business operates. During your first two years, you will be given increasing responsibility and opportunities to contribute to different areas of the firm. Beyond this initial period, the role will have scope to develop further in line with your strengths, interests and the evolving needs of the business. This is an opportunity for someone who is prepared to master the practical detail, demonstrate what they can do and build a broader career from there.
