Description
Job title: Graduate Shared Services Finance
Location: UK Flexible
We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Finance Graduate Programme that you’ll be required to attend your site 3-4 days per week in order to maximise your development during your time on the programme. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements, including which days you are required to work on site/remotely, will be outlined by your placement manager.
Over the course of the 3 year programme, you will be expected to undertake 3 x 12 month placements, each one being in a different geographical location across our various sites in England, Scotland and Wales (mobility will therefore be required).
Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role Description
The Finance Accelerate Scheme is a 3-year development scheme for ambitious individuals seeking to build a finance career. Through three 12-month UK placements in diverse finance roles, you’ll gain broad business insight and hands-on experience. We support your path to a Chartered Accountancy Qualification (CIMA or ACCA) with tailored training, workshops, conferences, and mentoring. You’ll develop technical and soft skills while working with experts across areas like Financial Planning & Analysis, Project Finance, Financial Controls & Systems and more. With real responsibility, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous feedback, you’ll be equipped to thrive in a dynamic, global finance environment.

Core duties
- Support financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities, ensuring information is accurate and delivered on time.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, providing clear insights to stakeholders.
- Assist with month-end activities, reconciliations and financial controls to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Build effective relationships across teams, communicating financial information in a clear and accessible way.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, using technology and data to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, curiosity, teamwork and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification Requirements
As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level. All degree subjects will be considered.
