Continued growth across our New Build, Social Housing and Commercial has created an opportunity for an ambitious Graduate Finance Analyst to join our expanding Commercial Team at our Dunfermline Head Office.
Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, this is a unique opportunity for an Accounting or Finance graduate who wants more than a traditional finance role. Rather than simply recording business performance, you will work closely with clients, operational teams, and senior management to help influence commercial outcomes, improve profitability, and support business growth. From day one, you will be encouraged to take ownership of projects, contribute to commercial negotiations, and develop the skills required to become a future commercial leader within the business.

The Role
This is more than a graduate position. You will gain exposure to the commercial, operational, and client-facing aspects of the business while developing the analytical, negotiation, and project management skills needed to build a successful commercial career.
- Prepare, submit, and agree, customer valuations.
- Analyse contract profitability, margins and commercial performance.
- Assist with pricing reviews, variations, and commercial proposals.
- Support negotiations with clients and key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain pricing models and commercial reporting tools.
- Produce forecasts, budgets, and business performance analysis.
- Take ownership of individual projects and improvement initiatives.
- Build relationships with clients, operational teams, procurement and finance functions.
- Support contract mobilisation and commercial project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Commercial Team.
About You
You will be degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline and be looking to build a career that combines financial analysis with commercial decision-making.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Confident communicator with the desire to engage directly with clients and stakeholders.
- An interest in negotiation, commercial agreements, and project leadership.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a team.
- Ambitious, driven and keen to develop into a future commercial professional or manager.
Experience within construction, manufacturing, social housing, new build or other project-based industries would be advantageous but is not essential. Full and extensive training will be provided on CR Smith systems and commercial processes.
