Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an entry level Finance Assistant located at our head office in Knaresborough. You will receive an excellent grounding in all aspects of finance, being a key member of a small finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Timely and accurate updates to the Sage accounting system
  • Making accurate agreement payments to dealerships
  • Analysing financial data
  • Supporting compliance with financial regulations
  • Effectively collaborating with team members and colleagues, in particular the sales and financial operations teams
  • Ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of finance processes
  • Working in an entrepreneurial, dynamic environment
  • Supporting the delivery of process improvement and automation

You will be given the autonomy to help shape and excel in your role. Study support towards an accounting qualification is available.

Qualifications and skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a numerate discipline (such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field), or demonstrable evidence of strong numerical and analytical skills gained through professional experience or relevant certifications.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Sage and Excel is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to proactively engage and collaborate with team members and colleagues.
  • Solid understanding of financial compliance standards and best practices.
  • A “Can do” attitude with a positive mindset to driving change.
