Pixel Systems is hiring a Graduate Frontend Developer

Pixel Systems is hiring a Graduate Frontend Developer to support a core project for a leading London-based consultancy. We are building a suite of internal management tools to help their team coordinate complex operations and data streams. This position is a permanent, full-time role that is conducted entirely in a remote capacity. You will work alongside our senior developers to create functional, clean user interfaces that solve practical business problems for this client and others.

About Pixel Systems

Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency and we do things a bit differently. We avoid the hype of the latest tech trends and shiny consumer apps. Instead, we focus on the systems that keep companies running, like admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations. Our clients come to us because we provide clear quotes, perform weekly demos, and deliver stable software that does exactly what it is supposed to do. We use a reliable stack of Node, React, and Postgres. Our goal is always the same: build something today that will still be working perfectly in five years without needing a total overhaul.

The Role

In this role, your daily work will revolve around building the parts of the software that people see and use. You will be turning requirements from our clients into working React components. This includes tasks like:

  • Creating clear, readable data tables to replace complex, messy spreadsheets.
  • Building forms for data entry that validate information before it hits the database.
  • Ensuring that data from various APIs shows up correctly and consistently on the screen.
  • Cleaning up older code to make it easier for our team to maintain in the long run.
  • Writing documentation and recording short walkthrough videos for the features you build.
  • Moving data between different interface layers to ensure a smooth user experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has a solid grasp of the building blocks of the web: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You do not need to be a seasoned expert, but you should have a basic understanding of how React components work and how to style them effectively. We value clarity over cleverness. This means we prefer simple, readable code over complex tricks that are hard for someone else to fix later. Because we are a fully remote company, you should be organized and comfortable managing your own tasks. Being okay with the non-flashy side of development is important here. We build tools for warehouse managers, operations teams, and consultants, not social networks or high-traffic landing pages.

Helpful background

While this is an entry level role, there are a few technical areas that will make your transition easier. We do not expect you to know everything, but familiarity with these items is a plus:

  • Experience with GitHub or other version control tools for managing code changes.
  • An understanding of how to connect a frontend interface to a backend API.
  • Exposure to Node.js or Postgres from university projects or personal hobbies.
  • A basic understanding of responsive design using CSS.
  • Experience writing short, clear technical notes or documentation.
