Job Title: Graduate Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Warrington
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 per annum + Development Programme
Are you graduating in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences or a related discipline and looking to launch your career as a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer?
Our client is a leading specialist in earthworks, quarry restoration, landfill engineering and major land development projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding technical team based in Warrington.
The Role
As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers to support the design, monitoring and delivery of a wide range of projects, including:
- Earthworks and ground engineering schemes
- Quarry restoration and development projects
- Landfill and containment cell engineering
- Infrastructure and access road design
- Technical modelling and engineering calculations
- Ground material assessment and validation
- Site inspections and quality assurance activities
You’ll gain exposure to both office-based design work and practical site engineering, allowing you to develop a broad and highly valuable skillset.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from graduates with degrees in:
- Engineering Geology
- Geotechnical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Geology
- Earth Sciences
- Environmental Geoscience
- Geography (with a geology or geoscience focus)
No previous industry experience is required. This Graduate Geotechnical Engineer opportunity is ideal for ambitious individuals who are eager to learn and build a long-term career within geotechnical engineering.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in geotechnical engineering, earthworks or ground engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
