Job Opportunity: Graduate Health & Safety Consultant

If you’re ready to launch a meaningful career in Health & Safety within the Built Environment, applications are now open for recent and upcoming Graduates to join our Autumn 2027 Evolve graduate programme within our Bristol office.

Apply online now and be ready for virtual assessments and in-person interviews shortly after. Successful candidates will have an offer on the table prior to Christmas 2026 or early 2027 for a start in the Autumn.

What’s the role?

Ridge is a Built Environment Consultancy. This is all about the human-made spaces and structures that support how and where we live, work and play. It’s everything from individual buildings to entire cities and the infrastructure that connects them. If you’re fired up by the thought of an impactful and rewarding career shaping that environment, working in expert teams and getting down to the nitty gritty of our clients’ challenges, then read on!

Our two-year Evolve graduate programme develops and supports the next generation of Built Environment professionals.

As a Graduate Health & Safety Consultant at Ridge, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of construction projects, combining time on site with working alongside project and design teams.

You’ll support our teams with construction site visits and design risk management, helping to ensure buildings are designed with safety in mind throughout their lifecycle, from how they are constructed and used to how they are maintained and, eventually, demolished.

The role also involves gathering, reviewing and coordinating key project information, working with a variety of people across the project team. This means there are lots of similarities with project management, so it’s a great fit for someone who enjoys keeping things organised, communicating with different people and making sure important information doesn’t get missed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
