About the Role
We are currently looking for ambitious and outgoing graduates to join one of the UK's leading independent speciality reinsurance specialists. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an incredible, supportive and entrepreneurial organisation that will give you an amazing start to your insurance career. The role will give you the opportunity to gain knowledge and exposure to business lines such as Marine, Aviation, Casualty, Property and A&H.
Responsibilities
- Develop a good understanding of our insurance business and operating environment.
- Support the Brokering team with a diverse range of activities.
- Conduct a market-intelligence exercise using publicly available sources, including Companies House, corporate websites and insurance industry publications, and organise the findings using both qualitative and quantitative measures.
- Analyse information held in our CRM, spreadsheets and other data gathered over the past three years to build a clear picture of the businesses previously considered, the reasons we chose not to proceed, and whether they should now be reconsidered as prospective opportunities within our addressable market.
- Support the development and more effective use of our existing customer relationship management system, Microsoft Dynamics, including helping to upskill the team so that they can use the platform more effectively.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
